My Take on Barry Bonds
I'd like to congratulate Barry Bonds on passing Willie Mays on the all time home run list. There is, of course, a cloud hanging over this feat as Bonds has been accused of taking steroids. In America a man is considered innocent until proven guilty and Bonds has not yet been proven guilty so I'd like to think he has accomplished this milestone without illegal substances. We'll never know for sure because even if he passes a test we'll never know if he was truly steroid free throughout his career or if he just cleaned himself up because of the scandal. It may be time to start thinking about putting an asterisk next to his name on the home run list.
